The College Hostel has observed Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Jayanthi on 18 Dec 2008. Swami Vimurthananda, Editor of Sri Ramakrishna Vijayam, was the main speaker on that occasion. His speech (in Tamil) is available here for download.

Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Birthday was observed during the weekly Prayer Meeting of the Evening College on 19 Dec 2008. After the simple worship and waving of lights to Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda (the Holy Trio), the meeting commenced with Shanti Mantra. Master Subrahmaniam sang a devotional song on Lord Shiva and master Lakshmi Narasimhan sang another devotional song on Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. Swami Atmaghanananda, Secretary, then gave a welcome speech. This was followed by the main speech of the day by Swami Atmashraddhananda, Editor of Vedanta Kesari, on Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. This was followed by a vote of thanks by the Principal. Proceedings can be downloaded.
