Annual Report of Activities - 2006-07

Department of Bank Management - A department of Innovations and Revolutions. The Association is just a two years old child but matured enough with a array of activities and string of accomplishments to its credits.

• Everything has a starting and the Association of Bank Management rised with its Inaugration Function on the 19th day of July 2006.The department was very much honoured to have Mr.S.Subramanian, Retired Deputy Manager of RBI.
• Soon after the Inaugration on the 24th August 2006,The association arranged a Audio Visual Presentation for the benefit of students. The students felt very much fortunate to have been addressed by Mr.S.George , AGM State Bank of India and Mr.Ramaswamy , Vice-President Sundaram Finance.
• Monthly Association meetings have been conducted to discuss and plan the activities of the Association.

Participation of the Department Students in Inter and Intra Collegiate Cultural events and activities have been encouraged right from the inception of the Association. Some of the activities in which the students participated and won are as follows,

1. National Level: The following students of the Department had participated in the National Level Seminar held in Salem by Periyar University and had presented papers in varied fields of the Commerce Sector.

2. Inter College Activities:
   • Best Investment Manager Award

     Nikhil Shankar - RKM Vivekananda College - Concurrence 2006.
3. Intra College Activities:
   • Overall 3rd Prize - "Concurrence 2006".

     Ship wreck - "Concurrence 2006".
   • R.Sundeep, G.Sundeep and Vidhyashankar 2nd Prize
     - Slogan Writing Contest - "Concurrence 2006".
   • R.Naveen, K.Gowtham, Vivek Gangadharan, Piyush Mehra - 1st Prize
     - Treasure Hunt - "Concurrence 2006".
   • Arjun Padmanaban and Vivek Gangadharan
     - 3rd and 2nd prize respectively - "Concurrence 2006".
   • Nikhil Shankar
     2nd Prize - "Concurrence 2006".
4. Intra Department Activities:

   A Cultural Program named "Banko-Festival 2007" was organized by the Department Association in a grand manner. Various contests ranging from Ad-Zap to Solo Singing were conducted in which the students of the department participated in large numbers with great interests and enthusiasm. The contests encouraged the students to excell in other fields along with academic excellence . A total of 34 prizes were given to the students for their endeavours in the cultural activities. Academic Excellence of the students were recognized by the department and Two Academic Excellence Awards were given .

Valedictory function : A Valedictory Function was held on the 5th of April 2007 for which Mr.S.Ramanathan, Ex-President ICWAI Kolkata , Director GV Films was invited as Chief Guest and the Prizes for the Intra-Department Culturals "Banko-Festival" was distributed. The students were under the spell of the inspiring words of the Chief Guest.

Times may come and Times may go, but some incidents etch the golden pages of history permanently with shine and gleen, So shall the Activities of Bank Mangement Department Association.
