Our distinguished Alumnus Sri. T.S. Tirumurti, IFS is India’s new permanent representative to the United Nations
Mr. T.S.Tirumurti IFS, a distinguished alumnus of our college, was posted as India’s 22nd Permanent Representative to the United Nations in May 2020. Mr. Tirumurti joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1985. He served in Indian diplomatic missions in Cairo, Geneva, Gaza, Washington DC, and Jakarta. He was the first Representative of India to the State of Palestine. He was also the Deputy Chief of Mission in Jakarta and the Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia. In an interview with Times of India on 5th May 2020, he recalled his proud association with our Institution and also said that being the product of Ramakrishna Mission he had imbibed the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, and Swami Vivekananda.
