The Department currently offers B.Sc (Computer Science) and B.C.A. courses.
The Department of Computer Science was started in the academic year 1999-2000. In this department, two courses are provided such as B.Sc (Computer Science) and BCA with 50 as the allotted student strength for each course. M.Sc (IT) course was functional from the academic year 2001-02 to 2010-11 with 20 as the allotted student strength.
Students with B.Sc (Computer Science) and B.C.A. degrees can pursue their higher studies in M.C.A, M.Sc (IT), M.Sc (Computer Science) etc. They can even pursue M.B.A. The B.Sc (Computer Science) and B.C.A. courses in this department also adequately equips the students to work as software engineers in IT companies. Most of the students here get well placed in leading IT companies through campus interviews while they are in their final year.
